Dose equivalent H
The equivalent dose in an irradiated tissue or organ resulting from the absorbed dose by multiplying by a weighting factor (w R)  for the particular type of radiation. This takes into account the different biological effects, we of the various types of radiation. H = w R
The effective dose is obtained by summation of the weighted equivalent doses of each irradiated tissues and organs. The weighting factors (w T)  take into account the difference in radiation sensitivity of different organs in relation to the risk of cancer and genetic changes.
